Question by Elina: What careers are there in airport that will suit me?
hi! I’m interested in International Studies, language(s), and airports. when i was younger i wanted to be a flight attendant, but i don’t think i will be able to handle that. i would want something that is non- flying. perhaps a translator… what kind of jobs are available at the airport with language skills? (i was also looking into ticket selling, etc) thanks

Airports need interpreters when they have difficulties with incoming or outbound passengers maybe ticketing or customs or maybe local goverment, or any goverment dept. that deals with foreieners at an airport, might be worthwhile finding out beforehand what would be the most useful language to learn.

I recently started working at a direct selling company that includes an events department. The company is international so the events are all over the world, involve coordinating the event location and local tours for the sales associates. The event coordinator attends and manages the event in each location. They seem to travel all the time and frequently take a few extra days after the events to do their own sightseeing.
