I cant find a job because of my race/ethnicity?

Question by Ericca Kirao: I cant find a job because of my race/ethnicity?
My name and many others from my ethnicity are very similar and you can tell our ethnicity through our name. Lets say Im lebanees and every where go whether it is school or the airport when people look at my name they comment on my ethnicity. A lot of times they say rude things like “Oh I hope your not drunk” or “your lebaneese huh? that expains why your waering black” or at school “Are you in the mafia?” The way they say it is rude and I dont mind people being curios but when they say something about me bieng lebanees they say it rudely like they look down on me or something. And people are all nice and dandy until they find out im lebaneese.
Ive been trying to find a job for a while now. I have experience from a lot of voluntary work and one actual job (which I did in lebanon, not here in the usa). Through all this applying I have only gotten a responce back 3 times. All those times I went to an interview and the hiring person would be new to the town so they had no clue about names connecting a person to their ethnicity which is a good thing since they were not judging me on my race but what i had to offer. In those three intervies I got called back once but it didnt work because she said I would have to work mornings but I have school in the mornings and i cant ditch school for work because of mandatory state underage laws.
Ive checked with the lebanees community here and all of them work for their family buisness and literally no one works for anyone else and Im starting bo think that its because they dont get hired by any one else because they are lebaneese. Also kids who are 14, 15 even 13 get jobs but I was never able to even though I had experience and was older.
Do you think Im not getting called back or given a chance because of my race/ethnicity? Or it really is the economies fault and kids who have no experience and are younger than me are just lucky if they get work? If you think its my race than what should I do??? How do I prove that?
in my communtiy they all know because of this infamous lebanees celeb and this infamous lebanese gang. so they all know except for the outsiders lie yourself

I dont even know wtf a lebanese person looks like, or anything about them. I doubt thats the reason why youre not getting a job.
