I work Aircraft Structural Repair. Basically, anything metal on the plane, we fix it. Unless it’s a system specific item. i.e. hydraulics, electronics, engines, etc. It can be from a simple patch on the skin, to a heavy structural member. You can get out and start off at 60K+ if you’re good and have experience. Also, there is hydraulics, engines, NDI (they x-ray and test for cracks). There are a lot of them! If you want to know more, shoot me an e-mail.

depends on the size of the airport, and the airline. bear in mind that you don’t work for the airport, but the airline.
most flight checkins start 2 or more ours before the flight is due, and in many cases, you can checkin yourself and luggage a night before
if a major airport like heathrow, there are flights 24/7 so most checkins will be constantly open, but regional airports, and smaller operators, operate a few hours before their flights, and they won’t have as much overnight activity
