Question by M G: What does ‘Repatriation Airport’ mean on a job application form?
I’ve applied for a job on a cruise ship and on the form I have to fill in with my personal details there is a pace for Repatriation Airport.
I guess it means my nearest airport but I don’t see why this would be on the new hire data form.
Thanks to the first person for the answer. This is pretty much what I thought. Thanks for the help

If you get into trouble in another country and you have to be sent home, they need to know where to send you.

Question by Rockominal: What does Obaama and his ilk want to do about Iraq; again?
In case you libs haven’t noticed, our United States Armed Forces have effectively bought their fair share of Baghdad Itn’l airport. I’m NOT excluding the Royal Air Force and other users of course. I don’t know what kind of draw down on troops Obaama promises to the masses concerning the Iraq theatre. I certainly agree with most parts of that issue. I’ve always wondered why the “innocent” Iraqi citizens don’t notice people planting roadside bombs outside their neighborhoods. The U.S. military is too professional to be the street patrol for Iraq as their people hide out in their dwellings. If they want to be trained in combat, then let them join in the effort with that training. As an analogy, you can relate that same thing with what happens here. Commercial pilots could and should have always been allowed to carry weapons on the cockpit. Why don’t stewardesses have concealed weapons? Maybe next time, Maersk, and other shipping companies, will get the bright idea to carry weapons on their vessels as well. And that has ALWAYS been my thoughts on that.
Back to Baghdad. I’m ASSUMING that when Obaama wants to withdraw from Iraq that even he wouldn’t be stupid enough to be handing over Baghdad airport, [BIAP] ICAO مطار بغداد الدولي , which the U.S. military has bought and paid for to use as a base. Our military, and Britain’s military presence can go hand in hand with commercial traffic. In case you liberals don’t know what the word, logistics, means, that airport is the epitome of it. I won’t even get into it’s strategic value in regards to its proximity to Iran as well as night reconnaissance. Stations like CNN already do a good enough job of blowing their mouths off about military operations to the rest of the world.
Also, with increased commercial traffic, Iraq can start helping to pay their bills. I’m sure the Pentagon has already schooled Obaama regarding that situation, right? I mean, even your democrat controlled Congress couldn’t be that blatantly ignorant and stupid, or can they?
In October 2008, Turkish Airlines launched nonstop service to Baghdad from Istanbul Ataturk International Airport with three weekly flights, thus becoming the first airline to resume service from Europe to the Iraqi capital since UN sanctions were imposed after the 1990 invasion of Kuwait. On 2 January 2009 the Swedish-based airline Nordic Airways operated the first flight between Western Europe and Iraq in 17 years when a flight carrying about 150 passengers ran between Copenhagen and Baghdad.
Czech carrier, Euro Air Cargo, plans to launch service in the future
